Meet Robert Winthrop - A Well Rounded Background
After completing my formal education at Temple University and receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting I decided to take some time off. I've always loved to travel and took a year off to broaden my life experience. I lived in Israel, worked on a kibbutz for 6 months and traveled around Europe. During that time I met many unique individuals and dealt with the everyday challenges of living in foreign countries. That experience helped shape my life philosophy and prepared me for a career in public accounting.
I returned to the United States and went to work for several large public accounting firms, but realized I needed to follow a different path. After passing the CPA exam, I established my own practice.
By far, the most enjoyable part of my practice is meeting personally with my clients. I find it rewarding to help my clients navigate the thorny maze of tax, financial and small business issues. Many clients have commented that I make it easy and stress free for them and they feel as though a weight has been lifted off their shoulders.
As a life-long learner, I'm constantly taking courses to stay current with the changes in the tax code and the constantly changing complex rules and regulations.
I'm a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA's and The Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.
When I'm not working, I enjoy being outdoors. I love skiing, biking, hiking, staying physically fit, spending time with my friends and family and traveling with my wife Rosalie.
